Varsity is pleased to have successfully completed the new Training Shed gym for Huntingdonshire District Council One Leisure in St Ives, Cambridgeshire. Varsity delivered Project Management and Quantity Surveying services for this project that comprised of converting four existing squash courts into a large gym space, with a new mezzanine suitable for fitness classes, and new ancillary spaces. Varsity Consulting is delighted that all of our Associate and Director level staff are now accredited NEC Project Managers. This accreditation was a significant investment for Varsity, but one we consider adds real value for our Clients, as well as reassurance when delivering NEC projects. The NEC form of contract sets stringent timescales to agree the cost and time implication of changes on projects as they progress, encouraging collaboration throughout the build stage. Braintree College was the venue for Varsity Consulting's first 'Varsitree' tree planting day on Friday, following the successful completion of the STEM Building project on which we delivered PM and QS services. Under our Varsitree Initiative, we aim to plant a new tree for each major project we deliver towards our target of becoming a carbon neutral company.
