Varsity Consulting took part in Wrenbridge’s annual World Cup Football Tournament played at Linton in the blistering 35 degree heat. We may have (arguably) had the best kit, but alas that wasn’t enough to claim victory in the tournament. We will try again in 2019!
Varsity Consulting has recently opened an office in St Ives (Cambridgeshire) to better serve our clients located west of Cambridge including those in Huntingdonshire, Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire and the Midlands. Feel free to make an appointment to pop in and see us.
It was a pleasure to Sponsor the Varsity Consulting Ladies Open Race at Cottenham Racecourse on New Years Eve. An exciting race won in front of a bumper crowd. It was great to be able to support a brilliant local event, and to continue to raise Varsity Consulting’s profile in the equine industry, having provided Quantity Surveying services to a number of equestrian-related clients in 2017. We are looking forward to continuing our sponsorship in 2018.
Varsity Consulting is pleased to be able to offer a tender pricing service to small builders and contractors in Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and Essex. It's fair to say that we are in the midst of something of a construction boom in East Anglia and the South East, and a number of smaller builders and contractors are finding themselves to be increasingly busy, but not quite in a position where they can justify employing a full time Estimator / QS. Varsity can help builders and contractors with this; quantifying and costing tender documents, and even producing written tender submissions if required; all…
We like BIM. BIM, (Building Information Modelling) is quite simply the future of the industry, and is a revolution for a large part of the more traditional role of the Quantity Surveyor. Varsity has made a significant investment to run the most cutting edge BIM-integrated estimating software (in our opinion); CostX by Exactal. This software allows us to work quickly and accurately - in turn allowing us to keep fees competitive and focus our time on pricing, procurement, and cost management. Of course, we'll still happily work from 2D drawings, but BIM projects are officially welcome!
